[above average material for mineral glass, truly scratch resistant]

- most Chinese watches do better (brighter, longer, clearer)]

SECONDARY MARKERS Minute Markers around the outer rim

SUB DIALS One - Small Second

LUMINISCENCE Hands only... no numbers or markers are luminous. Poor material used

BEZEL TYPE Fixed
BEZEL COLOR Silver-tone
BEZEL MATERIAL Stainless Steel

CROWN Pull / Push - horribly difficult crown to use.
Never seen such a bad crown on ANY Fossil watch before.

Overall Features
WATER RESISTANCE: 50 meters / 165 feet not tested.
Front and back crystal/glass appears to be well made and water tight.
Other than control issues, lock issues, the Crown does not look to be well done for
water resistance either.

FUNCTIONS: Hour, Minute, and Seconds hand

Price purchased: $115
Recommend: No.
Nice looking watch, but better watches can be purchased for this price point.

all 324 from chi and +26 more today

I have the the last two week purchases cataloged. Today, I purchased 26 more cards for Topps 1984 and got those cataloged also. Even after this, I still have not cataloged 20k cards yet.

I feel it is time to start looking at the major holes between my 1965 set and 1984 sets, and see if I can't reasonably plug some of those holes.

Really, I never dreamed I would have some of the range of this collection as I do.

Still cataloging cards from Rosemount

I'm still extremely happy with my pickups from that weekend,
but like my collection as a whole, I still have not gotten
everything cataloged.

Some favorites from these pickups:
Lee Smith 1983 Donruss Cubs [HoF]
Remainder of the 1983 Topps Cubs team commons
Remainder of the 1983 Topps Cardinals team commons
Sammy Sosa Rookie 1990 Score White Sox
Bobby Cox 1969 Topps Yankees [HoF]
Nico Houerner 2020 Topps Cubs Rookie
and just so many cards that I needed in my 1983, 1970 and 1969 sets

I was surprised to hear that 2023 nationals had the largest turn out in the conv long history. The NSCC does not release official attendance numbers, but the 2023 Rosemount IL card show is believed to have attracted more than 100,000 attendees, surpassing the 1991 show in Anaheim, Calif. for the largest of all time in it's long history.

My understanding is that next year is in cleavland and then back to Chicago Area in 2025.

Card Collectors Nationals! I made it!

2023 was the year I finally make the Nationals. I had so many expectations, and the size of this "card show" was greater.

I purchased 324 cards, yet I feel I should have walked away with more. I was able to find cards at better prices than I have had the opportunity in years.

Here is a simple breakdown of my purchases in Rosemount IL
Quantity, year, make
       5, 1966, Topps
      31, 1969, Topps
     102, 1970, Topps
      15, 1972, Topps
       2, 1979, Topps
       2, 1980, Topps
       3, 1981, Fleer
      11, 1983, Donruss
      27, 1983, Fleer

       1, 1990, Score
       2, 2019, Topps
       2, 2020, Topps
