Terry Brooks in June.

I picked three new Terry Brooks books in June, One today. The one today was a real treat as I had never actually seen the book in person, "Street Freaks" and in hard cover. I will try to get these added to my book DB.

The other two books are:

"The Dark Legacy of Shannara - Ward of Farie" softcover

- and -

"The Fall of Shannara - the Stiehl Assassin" soft cover.

Defender Comics and other books

When it comes to reading, I made a few post Christmas purchases concerning books and comics.

I now have all of the first 125 Defenders with the exception of #26-#30 (120/125). Maybe I can finally figure out what went on with Barbra and Valkyrie.  Also at 55, that much closer to fulfilling my 12 year old dream of reading them all.

Curious thing is issue #26-30 deal with an early Guardians of the Galaxy team up with the Defenders and it looks completely different than the Guardians we know from the Marvel movies.  So at some point, I'm really going to want to read these.

I also picked up 3 Terry Goodkind books in Sturgis Kentucky and received 5 new Terry Brooks for Christmas in Lola Kentucky.   One of the Terry Goodkind books was the hardback version of Debt of Bones, which I have read - but I had never seen this version of the book before.

I also received a NASB 1995 and a NASB 2020 Bible.  Lastly I hauled home a huge 1903 Catholic Handbook.

This should be enough reading to keep me entertained for a while.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm enjoying my time off this week being with the family. The last few days I have been reading several books, including Terry Brooks, Terry Pratchet, Marvel Defenders, and reading various Koine Greek manuscripts. Not much on the front of coding or working on computers - but have been eating a lot of cookies as my daughter has spent several days cooking them.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Years!

Went book shopping and picked up Terry

Spent some time with my two oldest kids today at the book barn in Forsyth IL. Picked up three books for my Terry Brooks and Terry Goodkind collection.

- Pillars of Creation by Terry Goodkind
- Confessor by Terry Goodkind

and

- Dark Wrath of Shannara by Terry Brooks

Lastly, I purchased the eBook, Indomitable by Terry Brooks that is between the Wishsong and Dark Wrath.

That is the most high-fantasy books I have purchased in one day in a while.

Terry Brooks books

Yep, I'm still reading, still acquiring Terry Brooks books - although I'm a bit behind. I found a book I needed this week and wondered where am I at on Terry Brooks writing.... so I created a list. My wife find me a bit weird, because I create lists for everything. The book I found on sale was The Stiehl Assassin from the fallen series. this made me realize I was missing the other three books... one being the first... The Black Elfstone. I loved the First King which focused on the Black Elfstone, so I was amazed this had slipped by me.
My list can be found here: http://mrgibson.com/tbtg/
