TI-99 32K expansion

The most common TI-99/4A 32K RAM chip is the 28 pin AS6C62256 RAM chip.  Any solution I look at will likely use this chip.
The exact spec is 32k Ram AS6C62256-55PCN 28DIP 0.6″.  It is a 32kx8 memory array chip which was very common, but not when the TI-99/4A was released.  Texas Instruments used a totally different configuration.  Below has the pin description.

All the additional pieces you will need for a TIPI setup.

What is powering "THE400"?

What is powering "The400" mini? Atari's website (https://atari.com/products/atari-400-mini-1) has the new Atari "The400" mini computer having an "Allwinner H3" CPU. This is something I don't think most are familiar with.

Allwinner H3 is actually an ARM platform that features an ARM Quad-Core Cortex-A7 CPU and an ARM Mali400 MP2 GPU.

Lets break that down:
CPU
- ARM Cortex-A7 Quad-Core that runs at 1.296 GHz
   Has a 64-bit load-store path
Also has 128-bit AMBA 4 AXI buses

- 512KB L2-Cache (shared between four cores)
This Integrated L2 cache is designed for low power
   32 KB (Instruction) / 32KiB (Data) L1-Cache per core

- Large Physical Address Extensions (LPAE) 1TB

GPU
  ARM Mali400 MP2 600 Mhz
Featuring 1 vertex shader (GP) and 2 fragment shaders (PP).
  Complies with OpenGL ES 2.0

What this makes me wonder is how powerful is this setup and will someone be able to hack this to also run software Atari ST computers. What about running Linux? What all can this little box do?

Santa Cruz - First Mod - Tailgate letters

I received the tailgate letters in the mail late Friday afternoon and this Saturday is warm, so I'm going to apply today. Installation is straight forward.
The letters are raised and have reflective properties in the soft material.
The first step is to clean a prep the tailgate

First I cleaned with water.
Then I cleaned again with alcohol wipes that were mailed with the tailgate letters.

One at a time, I applied the letters to the tailgate.

What the letters look when applied.

Sub note: I ordered a new license plate holder that matches the tailgate letters.
sub sub note: Took the day off of workouts given I had to work Saturday night and my son was visiting.

Santa Cruz Mods - First, the wish list

#1 Tail gate lettering -> Started as this has been ordered. picked up US raised letters:

#2 Tail gate LED light bar - I have the connection located on the rear driver side of the vehicle behind the lower quarter panel.

there are the plastic panel pin to pull down on.

#3 remote start - probably send in to shop for.

#4 Radiator protector screen - probably should be a higher priority. The radiator is not well protected on this vehicle.  I have already read about people having a truck in front of them throw a rock into their radiator.

#5 Two inch lift kit

#6 Front skid plate

#7 Front cow catcher.

Crosstrek todo?

I have made myself a part necessity and part dream list for my `15 Subaru Crosstrek.

Crosstrek todo:

In order of importance for me:

  • Rust repair
  • This is a must and short term goal. I just posted about this a few day ago. At 22K on the odometer, there should be no rust, but there is.

  • New tires
  • Another must. Still have factory tires on from my Feb 2015 purchase. Only rotated once (I know, I'm a horrible car owner) so the rear tires are more heavily worn than my current front tires.
The car came with P225/55R17 95H. So many choices and still comparing.

  • Seat detailing
  • Something I need to do for having the car as an every day beater
    .
  • New Infotainment system
  • I have one of the blah-est Infotainment systems ever put out by Subaru, or anybody else for that matter. I would love to upgrade this. A couple of photos from my current system.

  • Inside door handle replacement
  • I have significant wear on this door handle. This is the only interior piece of trim that has worn this badly. The silver coating looks to be worn off. I''m looking to see what it would take to purchase/replace this part. Maybe a solid black that would not show wear as bad.

  • Carbon filter delete
  • Honestly, I believe my Crosstrek has better acceleration that most and I don't know why. I would like to try this simple mod and see if I can make it even better.
  • Engine detailing
  • This is how I would like to make my engine look. This is almost completely cosmetic, but none the less love it.

  • Spoiler
  • Enough said.
  • New dual or quad exhaust
