Here is my first whinny post of the season. The Cubs have struck out a NL-record 58 times through 1st 5 games.
Who are the strike-out problem players? Heyward. nope. Schwarber. Wrong.
Happ for 8 strike-outs, Contreras for 8, and Rizzo for 6. Rest of the hitters for 5 SOs each.
Worse, the Cubs have been blanked twice in those five games by sub-par teams.
You can't win games if the lead off hitter (Happ) can't get on base, even by a walk.
